Hello Emerging Leaders and WF&FSA FAMILY!

Freddy MeleroI'd like to invite all of you to join us Wednesday, October 19th on our Miami Logistics Tour. This tour will give you an in-depth look at what happens with your flowers the moment they land in Miami.

The first stop on this tour takes us to Centurion Cargo. Centurion Cargo is the largest privately owned, all-cargo airline facility in North America. Centurion Cargo operates an impressive 550,000 square foot warehouse (51,097 square meters); divided into two different sections; a 159,000 square foot (14,772 square meters) Cooler and 391,000 square foot (36,325 square meters) Dry Cargo Area. This part of the tour will show you what happens from the time the plane lands until the time it arrives to its next destination; be it an importer or truck line of your choosing.

We then move on to Armellini Logistics. Armellini is a name that is legendary in this industry. Established in 1945 by Jules and Sarah Armellini to truck cut flowers from New Jersey to the Northeast floral markets, Armellini Logistics remains family owned and operated by first, second and even third generation family members, and today is the premier choice for perishable logistics in the Americas. They offer various services and will let us see behind the scenes action and talk to us about all their Logistic Services. Armellini has six different logistics services they offer: Armellini Express Lines, JA Flower Services, Armellini Air Express, Armellini Freight Brokerage, Armellini On Site Storage and Fresco Service.

I look forward to this tour and hope to see all of you there! There are only a few spots left so sign up today by email the WF&FSA Registrar, Jacob Hancock at jhancock@wffsa.org.
