VALENTINE’S DAY 2014 – A SOMEWHAT ROSY PICTURE
48.4% of the WF&FSA wholesalers participating in the 2014 Valentine’s Day Survey reported that cut flower sales were up compared with 2013, 13.6% reported sales were flat, while 37.8% reported a decline in cut flower sales. More than 58% reported inventory was sold out or nearly sold out at the end of the holiday, while 17.9% had lots of product left. The weather hampered holiday efforts in many parts of the country.
