The Engineering Excellence Awards acknowledges and celebrates the hard work and dedication each and every engineer contributes to their community. ACEC Ohio would like to recognize the great projects you’ve completed for our great state. This prestigious awards competition brings a unique and invaluable opportunity to your firm and clients as we recognize each submitted project; some will even have the opportunity to move on to the ACEC National Competition!

Plan to submit your project(s) by Thursday, November 1, 2018 and join us for the 2019 Engineering Excellence Awards Ceremony on March 14, 2019. A few things have changed this year; we’ve included the ability to electronically submit all documents for ease and cost savings for submitters as well as a new emcee!

Marshall McPeek
some may recognize him from the local news station, ABC6 on your side!

         Marshall Mcpeek

ACEC Ohio is pleased to welcome Marshall McPeek, a longtime Columbus meteorologist and journalist as the 2019 EEA emcee!

Marshall grew up in Central Ohio (in Bucyrus, the Bratwurst Capital of the World) and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ohio University's Honors College with a degree in journalism. He received his meteorology training from Mississippi State University and has earned the American Meteorological Society's prestigious designation as a Certified Broadcast Meteorologist (CBM #501). He joined the First Warning weather team and Good Day Columbus in September 2013. He was promoted to chief meteorologist in April 2018.

When he's not staring at the radar or being mesmerized by passing clouds, Marshall enjoys tinkering with his Vortex Fountain project. He also loves exploring the back roads of Central Ohio and meeting the interesting people who make this one of the most fascinating places in the country.
