PAC Appreciation Event Highlights 2019 Political Landscape
Join us February 7th for the 2019 Kick-Off
Appreciation Event for ACEC Ohio members who met their PAC goals
The 2018 PAC year ended successfully meeting 64% of our ACEC Ohio goal of $55,000 and 45% of our National goal of $55,000. (ACEC has a lower goal for us of $23,300 and we did meet their goal for the 3rd year in a row!) Our members set a new high of 54 companies meeting their PAC goals, THANK YOU!
To show our appreciation for those companies who met their PAC goals, a luncheon was held at the Hotel Leveque on January 11, 2019. House Legislative Leader, Representative Fred Strahorn welcomed the group and the DeWine/Husted campaign gave a special thank you for the support. After lunch over 45 participants received a federal update from Steve Hall, SVP ACEC and a state update from Kevin Futryk, Partner, Government Advantage Group.
The PAC is a key component of our advocacy efforts for the business of engineering. In 2018, contributions to the ACEC Ohio PAC have allowed us to give our members opportunities to meet both Gubernatorial Candidates at committee meetings, PAC events and small, private roundtable discussions. In addition, the Council continues to build strong relationships with Ohio House and Ohio Senate Leadership as well as key legislative members that are supportive of our business interests. You are invited to the 2019 PAC Kick-Off!
Join us on February 7th for the 2019 ACEC Ohio PAC Kick-off Event in Columbus at Denmark on High. We have invited Ohio House Speaker, Larry Householder to participate and will have Jenny Camper, consultant to the FOR Ohio Coalition also. Additional special guests will be announced shortly. Plan to bring a $100 personal check for both the ACEC Ohio PAC and the ACEC PAC and RSVP to Holly Roberto at holly.roberto@acecohio.org
