ACEC Ohio House and Senate Leadership Virtual Meetings

This month the ACEC Ohio PAC Trustees and members who contributed to the ACEC PACs met virtually with the majority leadership teams of the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate. Building strong legislative relationships is part of the Council’s strategic plan and goal to be effective advocates for the industry.

Key issues discussed with our legislative leaders included:

• The business liability protections in HB 606. HB 606 retroactively provides immunity to individuals, schools, businesses from the exposure, transmission, or contraction of COVID-19.
• Local government funding allocated through the CARES ACT, click here for allocations per political subdivision.
• A Capital Bill in lame duck session.

ACEC Ohio will participate in an industry-focused fundraiser with Governor DeWine on October 30.

As we end the PAC year on December 31, 2020, we ask that you consider meeting your voluntary PAC goal for this year. ACEC Ohio needs to continue to be dynamic in our PAC activities and support.
