Rondout Savings Bank Broadens Technology Capabilities through New Core Platform from CSI

PADUCAH, Ky., June 1, 2016 — In order to further support both its clients’ banking needs and the bank’s existing business goals, Kingston, New York-based Rondout Savings Bank has partnered with Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of end-to-end financial technology solutions, as its new core technology provider. Rondout Savings selected the CSI NuPoint® core solution, which enables the bank to broaden its technology offerings to not only achieve its own strategic objectives, but also maintain its dedicated focus on high-quality customer service.

“We chose CSI based on the cultural alignment and depth of functionality they provided,” said Cheryl Bowers, Rondout Savings Bank’s chief operating officer. “CSI’s robust commercial lending, digital banking technologies and continued support of passbooks for our traditional savings account holders are essential in our ability to thrive as a bank committed to growth, all while staying true to our mission of service excellence.”

CSI’s NuPoint is a comprehensive, customizable core banking system, and the bank recently converted to the new platform. Like many institutions, Rondout had reservations about the complexity of undergoing a core conversion; however, the process proved to be successful due to a committed collaboration between the bank’s leadership and CSI’s conversion specialists.

“We had initial concerns about undergoing a core conversion, but we spoke to many of CSI’s customers and realized changing core systems was the best strategic decision for both our bank and our customers,” Bowers said. “We focused on communicating effectively with employees and customers, and CSI facilitated a smooth migration due to their proven conversion methodology and highly experienced project management teams.”

Rondout Savings Bank sees its relationship with CSI as a long-term commitment to the bank’s ongoing growth and ability to provide outstanding service to its customers. The bank, like CSI, has a long-standing reputation for service excellence.

“For more than 50 years, CSI has continued to focus on delivering technology solutions that meet the growing needs of community banks across the nation,” said Steve Powless, chief executive officer of CSI. “We are excited about our new partnership with Rondout Savings Bank, which allows us to work with a financial institution that shares a similar commitment to offering customers the financial solutions they need through the service experience they deserve.”
