CSI Board of Directors Names Founder John A. Williams as Chairman Emeritus, Elects CEO Steve Powless as Board Chairman

PADUCAH, Ky., April 11, 2017 - The board of directors for Computer Services, Inc. (CSI) (OTCQX: CSVI), a provider of end-to-end financial technology solutions, has named John A. Williams, the company’s founder and long-time board chairman, as chairman emeritus. The board also elected Steven A. Powless, the company’s chief executive officer, as its new chairman and named Robert L. Walker as its lead independent director.

Williams, who founded CSI in 1965, has served as the company’s board chairman since 1979. Williams, whose term as chairman was up for re-election at the next shareholder meeting, decided to retire from CSI’s Board of Directors after nearly five decades of leadership. The board is conferring the title of chairman emeritus based on his distinguished service to the company and broader technology community.

“John’s vision for creating a technology company that’s centered on people is truly remarkable, and his leadership abilities have helped CSI emerge as one of the nation’s premier technology companies,” said Robert Walker, lead independent director for CSI’s Board of Directors. “As board chairman, he has always kept our focus on delivering solutions that create both customer success and shareholder value. We are grateful for John’s unwavering leadership and are honored to call him our first-ever chairman emeritus.”

In addition to remaining the company’s CEO, Steve Powless will assume the role of board chairman. He joined CSI in 1987, was named president and chief operations officer in 1993, and appointed CEO in 1999. He is only the second person to serve CSI as CEO. During his thirty-year career with CSI, Powless has helped guide CSI’s evolution into a globally recognized provider of fintech and regtech solutions: the company currently has more than $224 million in annual revenue, serves more than 3,000 domestic and international organizations, and employs more than 1,100 individuals nationwide. He also has provided dedicated leadership for many of CSI’s strategic initiatives, including several major acquisitions throughout his tenure and a comprehensive corporate rebranding initiative in 2012.

“For the past thirty years, Steve has proven time and again his vision for our company, his passion for strategic leadership, and his commitment to CSI shareholders,” Walker said. “The board recognizes his immeasurable talents, and we are excited to work with Steve in his expanded leadership role for the company.”

The appointments for both Williams and Powless will become effective following CSI’s annual shareholder meeting on June 29, 2017.
