ATLANTA, Nov. 29, 2017– The Association for Financial Technology (AFT), which promotes networking and professional development for companies serving credit unions and other financial services companies, announced today a relationship with CUNA Strategic Services. Both organizations support the mission of the credit union industry and have a shared vision of keeping credit unions competitive through technology and support services.

Julie Esser, vice president of CUNA Strategic Services and former AFT board member said, “I’m passionate about AFT, which includes a broad spectrum of technology and services providers in the financial industry. Through this relationship, CUNA Strategic Services will be able to better reach and collaborate on technology issues facing credit unions and those companies providing technology to them.”

“CUNA is the only national association that advocates for all credit unions and their members,” said Zach Duke, president of AFT and executive vice president of business development of Safe Systems. “By working with CUNA Strategic Services, AFT member companies have a direct connection to CUNA and will benefit from their network as well.”

Under the relationship, CUNA Strategic Services is a voting member of AFT; will attend and contribute to summits; and help identify potential members for AFT. Likewise, AFT will participate in CUNA events and promote CUNA and CUNA Strategic Services benefits to AFT member companies.
