For our Fall Meeting, we’ve designed an experience that pairs high-level legal discourse with the laid-back, sophisticated charm of one of Texas's premier destinations.

Your home for the meeting is La Cantera Resort, a stunning sanctuary perched above the Texas Hill Country. Blending luxury, world-class amenities, and natural beauty, this venue offers the perfect backdrop for professional growth, deeper connections, and well-deserved fun. Join us as we gather our tight-knit community for three days of insightful legal updates, unique networking, and unforgettable memories—and feel free to bring a partner in crime to enjoy the property alongside you!

Registration includes the Wednesday evening kickoff reception and dinner, Thursday breakfast, lunch, and evening events, Friday breakfast and lunch, and over 8 hours of high-quality CLE credits.

CLE Credits: Applications are pending. Depending on the state, attendance is expected to be worth 10+ credit hours.

Hotel Reservations & Group Perks

The AHIA Fall Meeting will be held at La Cantera Resort & Spa. Hotel reservations are handled directly via a rooming list; simply enter your lodging details right when you register for the meeting—there is no need to call the hotel directly.

• Waived Resort Fee: The usual $45 daily resort fee has been completely waived for our group. Enjoy complimentary inclusions such as shuttle usage to nearby shopping hubs (The Shops at La Cantera, The RIM, etc.), resort hiking trails, 24/7 fitness center access, basketball/tennis/pickleball courts, golf bag storage, and enhanced high-speed internet.

• Important Note: This special group rate and waived resort fee cannot be guaranteed for registrations or room requests received after September 8.

Special Activities & Highlights

• The Inaugural Pautler Invitational: Wrap up three days of high-level legal insights by hitting the links with one of our favorite people! Join us for the Inaugural Pautler Invitational, a special tournament honoring our Past President, Paul Pautler, who will be right there on the course with us. Tee off on Friday afternoon from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the championship La Cantera Golf Course. Registration is $125 per player and is strictly limited to the first 10 participants—be sure to secure your spot early during registration to come golf with Paul!

• Wednesday Night Glow-in-the-Dark Putt-Putt: Head over to the driving range from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM for glow-in-the-dark putt-putt golf paired with drinks from the open golf course bar.

• The Thursday Night "Unconference": Leave formal presentations behind and dive into an interactive liquor liability tasting session featuring regional cocktails and mocktails crafted with local ingredients, followed by small-group dinners around the resort.

• AfterGlow with DJ Rockin’ Rob: Wrap up Thursday night starting at 9:30 PM with our very own Board Member Rob Marshall bringing his legendary DJing skills to a chill-energy dance party featuring EDM, glow sticks, a dedicated dance floor, and a full bar.

• World-Class Spa & Friday Afternoon Tour: Don't take that early morning flight out—the fun certainly doesn't stop at lunch! Our Friday educational content and behind-the-scenes resort and spa tour concludes at 3:00 pm, flowing directly into the afternoon's activities. The Pautler Invitational tees off at 4:00 pm. Travel Information

Airport: San Antonio International Airport (SAT) is the most convenient gateway, located approximately a 20-to-30-minute drive from the resort.
Rideshare: Uber and Lyft are readily available from SAT. We highly recommend scheduling your return trip to the airport in advance to ensure a timely pickup.

The Weekend: Stay & Explore

For those staying through the weekend (and we strongly encourage you to linger!), informal group arrangements will be made to visit local shopping, the San Antonio Zoo, the historic Alamo, and more.

Guests are more than welcome to join you to experience La Cantera’s incredible amenities while you take part in our official AHIA activities and sessions. The $295 guest fee grants access to all official group meals and activities.

While you're in educational sessions, guests can unwind at the world-class spa, lounge by the pools, or explore high-end local shopping and downtown San Antonio.
