Job Duties: Assessing nutritional status and providing nutritional counseling to high-risk pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding women, infants and young children. Develops nutrition plans and educates participants on the selection and preparation of food based on their physical, financial, and psycho-social needs. Will explain the program policies and guidelines, distribute approved food and vendor lists, distribute educational materials, issue EBT cards, and will serve as a part of the Breastfeeding Support team.

All Greene County Public Health employees have an emergency response role and may be expected to respond to threats to the public’s health in accordance with the Greene County Emergency Response Plan.

Minimum Qualifications: Baccalaureate degree in food and nutrition or dietetics from an accredited college or university and one year of training in a dietetic internship program approved by the American Dietetic Association. Licensed/registered dietitian and obtain license/registration required. Valid driver’s license.       

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with one-hour unpaid lunch. Evenings as required.
