Duties Include:
- Under the direction of the Director, assists in preparing financial reports and maintains the costing and accounting system. This role examines, and analyzes accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting & procedural standards.
NOW HIRING: Accounting Analyst
- The Accounting Analyst maintains an activity-based costing and accounting system for department and select programs.
- Reconciles transactions with software accounting system and assists with annual budgeting process, cash forecasting and annual audit process.
- Assists in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Provides training to employees of the agency in overall fiscal procedures.
- Prepares specific cost reports in collaboration with department heads throughout the agency.
- Prepares annual cost allocation for department, assists in preparing annual cost methodologies for State mandated programs.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Minimum of 1 (one) year of government accounting or financial management experience
- Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail and accuracy, customer service skills with the ability to learn new information quickly
- Valid Ohio Driver’s License
- Occasionally required to exert a force of up to 10-20 lbs. In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this is considered sedentary work.
Hiring Wage Range: $19.24/hour - $24.06/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
