POSITION: REHS Supervisor
                   Generalist Programs

AGENCY: Warren County Health District

DEPARTMENT: Environmental Health Division

LOCATION: 416 South East Street, Lebanon, Ohio

HOURS: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  Monday thru Friday with a one-hour unpaid lunch break. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

STARTING: Pay Grade 10: Salary Range ($56,725.50-$79,306.50)

PAY RANGE: Includes full WCHD benefits.                                  

POSTING PERIOD: No less than seven (7) consecutive calendar days.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

One to two years’ experience as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist with the State of Ohio. Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record. 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES:

Knowledge of environmental health science, emergency preparedness, local public health system. Be skilled in analytical/assessment, policy development, cultural competency, community dimensions of practice, public health sciences, financial planning and management, leadership and systems think skills and communication skills. Must be proficient with technology and ability to communicate effectively in written and oral form and be capable of preparing meaningful, concise and accurate reports.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for the oversight and conduction of inspections within the generalist programs present at the Warren County Health District, including, but not limited to, the programs related to food safety, campgrounds, public swimming pools, housing, body art establishments, and animal bites/rabies surveillance. Supervises programmatic staff and attends meetings as required; may also have responsibilities in other environmental health programs implemented by the health district, as needed.
