POSITION: PUBLIC HEALTH NURSE 2, Communicable Disease Specialist

AGENCY: Warren County Health District

DEPARTMENT: Nursing Division

LOCATION: 416 S. East Street, Lebanon, Ohio

HOURS: Full-Time (37.5 Hrs/Wk)

PAY RANGE: Pay Grade  7 ($24.25 hourly) plus Full WCHD Benefits

POSTING PERIOD: This notice is being posted for a period of time not less than seven (7) consecutive calendar days beginning 09-29-2022 and until position is filled.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess a current Registered Nurse license (RN) as issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing; and a current CPR certification. Minimum (2) years’ experience in epidemiology; or equivalent combination of education, training and experience helpful.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of nursing techniques and methodologies in prevention and treatment of disease; medical lab procedures; infection control; medical terminology; office practices and procedures; basic computer skills.

Job Responsibilities:

Assists in investigation and control of infectious diseases and related environmental public health problems. Maintain and input data into Ohio Disease Reporting System. Evaluates surveillance system, timelines and completeness of reports. Participates in Regional Epidemiology Response Teams.  Provides routine client assessments, screening and care. Records accurate patient documentation into EMR program.
