Nominations for this year's Daniel Drake Humanitarian Award Recipient are now open. Through this prestigious Award, the Academy Foundation recognizes one living physician each year whose humanitarian efforts have deeply impacted patients and the community. Criteria for nominees include living physicians who:
-have given generously of themselves to their patients and the community -have demonstrated a history of keen awareness and selfless dedication to others -have dedicated much of their humanitarian efforts to the broad categories supported by the Academy Foundation, including but not limited to: Emergency Care, Child/Elderly Welfare, Public Health, Education/Communication for the public, Education and training for healthcare professionals, and Research (applied and basic) -are members of the Academy of Medicine
