Assistant Transportation Manager
Licking County Planning & Development
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000
The Licking County Area Transportation Study (LCATS) is seeking a forward-thinking and strategic manager to support the county’s transportation planning efforts. As part of the Planning and Development Department, this position is an important management support position that requires a broad base of skills and knowledge in the transportation planning field. This role will lead advanced planning projects and activities and be active in communications with partnering agencies, transportation boards and policy groups in conjunction with the Technical Study Director.
The individual in this position will serve as a leader and mentor in the department and will assume management duties for LCATS in the absence of the Technical Study Director or as delegated. This role includes the formulation of comprehensive and functional transportation plans and studies, project management and the coordination of applicable staff, consultants and resources. This individual will be involved in RFP/RFQ processes and will be responsible for understanding and complying with all applicable state and federal regulations and requirements for transportation-related planning and funding processes and programs.
The ideal candidate should have experience in city planning, urban design, transportation planning or related programs and be familiar with the operations and requirements of a Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).
