Planning and Zoning Code Update - RFP

City of Brooklyn

The City of Brooklyn, located in Cuyahoga County, Ohio has a population of 11,169. Comprising 4.24 square miles, Brooklyn is surrounded by Cleveland on its east, north and west borders and neighbors Parma to the south. It is primarily a residential suburb, but has a wide range of land uses that include a number of churches, small to large retail, restaurant, office, medical, industrial and parks. The City is seeking proposals for an all-inclusive review, update and rewrite of its Planning and Zoning Code as well as the zoning map which will be revised to correlate with the new code. The City’s expectation is that by engaging in such a process, all stakeholders – the citizens of Brooklyn, property owners in the city, the business community and the public servants entrusted with their livelihood – will have confidence in the outcome of this work, leading to a fully updated Planning and Zoning Code and map that is representative of the community’s best interests. The RFP and reference materials are available for review at www.brooklynohio.gov/en-US/city-news.aspx
