Have You Heard?

Seekers Sunday School Class

"Have you heard that Bethel UMC has one of the most extensive, well-attended, diverse adult Sunday School programs around? It's true, but we take it for granted and many of us are unaware of the opportunities available. Occasionally this column will highlight one of these classes.

This week let's take a look at the ""Seekers"" class. This mostly middle-aged group (but open and encouraging to all) meets in room 3 at 10:00 and focuses on God's word as recorded in the Scriptures. They are led by Darrell Parks (457-4155) with Karen Hopper (451-5580) as the contact person. They are currently involved in a verse-by-verse study of Revelations using a book by the same title written by C.M. Kempton Hewitt, professor of New Testament at the Methodist Theological Seminary in Delaware, OH. Discussions from time to time also center on personal issues of group members. Their fairly traditional atmosphere can be somewhat summarized by a hymn lyric that says ""God said it, I believe it, and that settles it."" All are welcome at any time to join them on their spiritual journey."
