We con tinue to seek volunteers for the 2012 Upward season.

Please consider some of these posi ons described below. If you have any ques ons, please feel free to contact Jennie Whetstone, or anyone on the Upward Leadership Team.

GREETERS & RUNNERS : The first impression a family has of the Bethel Upward league is when they walk in the front door. Then help us make sure people are welcomed
in grand style. Please consider volunteering to welcome parents and children, run stations, and provide refreshments. Time Commitment: 2-3 hours at one session (Evaluati ons are Nov 13 (6-7:30pm) & Nov 14 (6-8pm) & Nov 19 (6:30-8pm).

BASKETBALL COACH: Impact the lives of children and have fun while\ you volunteer! Use your talents to teach sport fundamentals as well as the value of sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity and respect for authority. You do not need to have a child in the league to serve as a coach. Never coached before? Don’t worry, Upward Sports will provide you with all the resources necessary to teach the sport, share life lessons and coach your team. Time Commitment: 3 hours a week + Coaches training in December

CHEERLEADING COACH: If you have lots of spirit and love cheering on teams while they play, our Upward league needs you!! Not a cheerleader? Don’t worry, Upward provides you everything you need to lead a cheer squad, share life lessons and bring pep to our games! Time Commitment: 3 hours a week + Coaches training in December

REFEREES: Did you play basketball or have a great understanding of
the rules of the game? If so, please use this gift to make an impact on children as they learn about teamwork, sportsmanship and respect for authority. Never been a referee? Don’t worry; we have great veteran referees to help guide you along the way!! Time Commitment: 2 – 4 hours on Saturdays + Coaches training in December
