CSCA 2017 Convention - Media Studies - Registration Now Open

Hello Media Studies Interest Group Members!

I hope you had a restful holiday break and that your spring semesters are off to a smooth start. Now that we're falling back into our regular routines it's time to start thinking about the 2017 Central States Communication Association conference, which is just two months away!

I am very excited about the Media Studies offerings at this year's convention. Not only do we have a great mix of research addressing fascinating topics with a variety of methodologies, but this year's conference marks the return of original media to CSCA! Three of our eleven MSIG panels will feature original media, which range from podcasts to short films.

Registration for this year's conference is now open through the CSCA website. Those registering before February 20th are eligible for the reduced early-bird registration rate. Reservations at the Hyatt Regency conference hotel are available now, too. Single/double rooms start at $139 per night.

I'm looking forward to an outstanding Media Studies program in Minneapolis March 16th through 18th. I'll see you there!
