CSCA ... ERICC Caucus email: CCT Inclusivity Series Fundraising Campaign

Dear ERICC Caucus Members:

We’re writing today to ask for your financial support of the Carolyn Calloway-Thomas Inclusivity Speaker Series (CCTISS) at CSCA’s annual convention. As you likely have witnessed firsthand, CCTISS features distinguished speakers (who are named CCT Fellows immediately following their talks) who share their expertise on communication, culture, race, and diversity. The annual series, which started in 2021, is dedicated to fostering dialogue on intercultural relations, social justice, empathy, community building, and global communication issues, all of which reflect and honor Dr. Calloway-Thomas’s impactful work and career.

CSCA’s Ethnicity, Race, International, and Class Concerns (ERICC) Caucus is launching a fundraising campaign to ensure the continued success and longevity of the speaker series. The money raised will allow us to pay an increased honorarium to speakers in appreciation for their scholarly labor. We are seeking to rally resources from those who deeply understand the importance of this work, and we would be honored to have you join us in this mission.

We sincerely appreciate giving at any amount. Our goal is to get the account’s principal to a minimum of $33,000. So far, we have raised 25% of our goal. Please make it a priority to donate, even if it’s an initial donation, by October 1, 2025. 

CSCA is offering a multiyear campaign with several sponsorship tiers, providing flexibility in your contributions. If you’d like to take part in one of these tiers, please email amy.aldridge@mtsu.edu with your giving plan so that Amy can keep up with the bookkeeping, provide you with any needed reminders, and ensure that you are recognized properly and with your permission. Please note that CSCA is classified as a 501(c)(6). 

Our sponsorship tiers include:

• Platinum: $1,000+
• Gold: $750–999
• Silver: $500–649
• Bronze: $250–499
• Steward: $1-249
