Now that your semester is in full swing, please consider submitting papers and panels for the Central States Communication Association Annual Convention in Kansas City (April 2-7, 2013).

If you are interested in developing a panel but are in search of possible panelists, a directory of members is available on the website (http://www.csca-net.org) through the Members Only link. You can search by name, affiliation, or interest group membership.

Communicating the Possible
The Kenneth Burke Society invites all members of CSCA to submit competitive papers, panels, roundtable discussions, and innovative programming for the 2013 CSCA convention in Kansas City, Missouri. The purpose of the Kenneth Burke Society is to promote the ongoing study, understanding, dissemination, research, critical analysis, and extension of Kenneth Burke’s work. A range of topics engaging Kenneth Burke’s theoretical and critical approaches are welcome, and we especially encourage members to address issues related to the convention theme.
Submission Details
Papers: Only completed papers will be accepted. Papers must include a detachable title page with the title of the paper and the author’s name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. If co-authored, the same information should be provided for all authors. A brief abstract must also be included. The word “Student” should be marked on all papers written by student authors. Student authored papers do not include those co-authored with faculty members.
Panels: Panel submissions must include the following:
1. A thematic title for the program
2. Names of the chair and respondents (if any)
3. Names, institutional affiliations, mailing addresses, telephone numbers, and email addresses of all participants
4. Titles and abstracts for each paper or presentation
5. A program copy (no more than a 50-word description) as it might appear in the final program
6. A rationale for the panel
All media requests must be made at the time of submission.
Submissions must be received by October 5, 2012.
