Virtual Roundtable with Auditor Faber this Friday, April 17th

Please see the below message from State Auditor Keith Faber:

Managing Local Government Finances in an Emergency:

Preparing for revenue disruptions as a result of the COVID pandemic

Dear Treasurers,

Across the state, elected officials are seeking solutions to the hardships the COVID-19 pandemic has created. The fiscal challenges we will face in the coming weeks and months will require difficult and creative actions to help ensure that your communities are best positioned to assist citizens. Many of you are already implementing policies and sharing ideas in order to combat the financial implications of this situation.

To assist local elected officials in their efforts, I’d like to invite you to join me on a statewide teleconference Friday, April 17th to begin a dialogue with your fellow treasurers and myself, sharing ideas and best practices that you’re implementing as you react to the COVID-19. As the facilitator of this conference, we will compile the information shared and utilize the AOS website as a repository for the issues discussed. In addition, we will create a virtual infrastructure to allow for a continued dialogue after the teleconference ends.

DETAILS OF TELECONFERENCE:

Date: April 17, 2020

Time: 11:15am

In order to participate in the webinar, please register at the following link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/142731309180234510

In the event that you do not receive a confirmation email with instructions to join the webinar, you can enter by visiting GoToWebinar.com, click “join” in the upper right hand corner, and enter the 9-digit webinar ID (454-208-051), name and email.

The elected officials in our cities, towns, villages, and townships possess the expertise to identify the issues your  communities are facing, and how these problems can best be combated. By working together in this forum where expected problems and potential solutions can be shared with the team, I believe we can better equip our communities to come out of this distressing situation in the best possible position.

I look forward to talking with you next week.

Best wishes,

Keith Faber, Ohio Auditor of State
