Please join us along with JD Bergman of Mobile Air & Power Rentals as he discusses the importance of addressing mental health issues. In addition to focusing on personal mental health wellness, Bergman will also discuss signs of mental health crisis and how you can help those around you address these obstacles.
Of all industries in the US, the construction industry has the second highest number of suicides, and that it is important for all of us to do what we can to bring that statistic down. The Mechanical Contractors Association of America; National Electrical Contractors Association; and The Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning National Association have chosen to promote the 988 Lifeline number by distributing poker chips with the 988 Lifeline Number on the chip. These chips will be distributed at this meeting as well so that you can share them with those around you as a resource reminder.
When people call, text or chat with the 988 Lifeline, they are connected to trained counselors that are part of the existing 988 Lifeline network, made up of over 200 local crisis centers. These counselors are trained to provide free and confidential emotional support and crisis counseling to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress and connect them to resources. These services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, across the United States.
Our speaker: JD Bergman was one of the best wrestlers in the world from 2004 to 2016. He accumulated 10 national titles, including 2 US Opens, and competed in over 20 countries with Team USA - after becoming 3x All American at The Ohio State University. That was merely preparation for his calling of fighting for the hearts and minds of young adults. Today, he's passionate about helping others live healthier lives: spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially. During the day, he facilitates solutions for those needing customized HVAC rental solutions for commercial/industrial facilities, emergency work and construction projects at Mobile Air & Power Rentals!
