Call for Papers for the Communication Traits Interest Group
Deadline for Submission: October 15, 2009
Submit to: email@JamesCMcCroskey.com
Papers that are submitted for the Communication Traits Interest Group should report quantitative research related to one or more Communication Traits. Full manuscripts submitted by October 15, 2009 will have priority for selection for presentation. Extended abstracts for which the author(s) has reasonable justification to believe the research will be completed and the manuscript available by January 1, 2010 will also be considered.
Requirements for submission:
1) A detachable title page with the title of the paper and the author(s) affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. The paper should not exceed 25 double-spaced typewritten pages (not including abstract, references, and notes) and should not have been previously presented at another conference.
2) "Student" marked papers solely written by an author(s) who is a full time undergraduate or graduate student(s) will be considered consistent with the requirements noted above and evaluated as a "student paper." Papers with faculty authors will not be seen as "Student."
3). An abstract on the second page that is 75 or less words. This will also serve as the program copy as it will appear in the final program.
4). If the paper has more than one author, all authors should be listed and the one who will present the paper must be identified.
5). ECA requires that all presenters proved a "statement of professional responsibility." This is: in submitting the attached paper or proposal, I/we agree to present this panel/paper if it is accepted and programmed. I further recognize that all who attend and present at ECA's annual meeting must register and pay required fees.
6). The paper should be prepared in Word or Word Perfect and employ 12 point, double spaced format.
7.) The Communication Traits Interest Group will not request that ECA provide electronic equipment for our programs. If you feel you need such equipment, you are responsible for providing your own equipment.
