2009 Panel & Paper Submission Deadline

The deadline for submissions to Rhetoric & Public Address for the 2009 Centennial Meeting of ECA is Wednesday, October 15.

You can review the complete call for papers and general information about the convention and the convention theme at http://ecasite.org/.

Submissions should be emailed to Nneka Ifeoma Ofulue, the Rhetoric & Public Address interest group program planner, at niofulue@umd.edu.

Nominations for Centennial Scholars in Rhetoric & Public Address

You can still submit nominations for Centennial Scholars in Rhetoric & Public Address.  Please forward nominations for Centennial Scholars in an email to Michael Barberich (mwb@albany.edu).  Include a brief (paragraph) statement that explains why you believe that scholar should be recognized.

According to the ECA call for nominations, "A Centennial Scholar is someone who has made a significant and lasting impact on the discipline of communication, whose work has influenced other communication scholars, and who has (or had) a connection to the Eastern Communication Association."

Annual Election of ECA Officers 

The election of ECA officers will be held Sunday, October 19 through and Saturday, November 1.  This year, the election will be undertaken electronically.
