The University of New Haven has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Interpersonal Communication in the Department of Communication, Film and Media Studies beginning fall semester 2013. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in multiple areas, participation in course, curriculum and program development on the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as service to the department, college, and university. Required qualifications include a completed Ph.D. in Communication with specialization in interpersonal communication and a record of excellence in teaching. Sub-specialization open. We welcome applications from scholars working in the areas of family communication, health communication, strategic communication, media studies/effects, persuasion, group, intercultural, research, or organizational communication. Candidates must have demonstrated scholarly potential, including publications and conference presentations. Grant experience a plus.
