Full-Time Tenure-Track Faculty—Assistant Professor

The Department of Communications Media at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, a large growing and collegial department, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2013. This vacancy is due to a recent faculty retirement and the expansion of departmental programs. The department is searching for a dynamic teacher/scholar to teach in one or more of the following specialty areas: Photography, Graphic Design, Audio Production, or Games/Simulation/Animation Production. In addition to one of the specialties described above, highly sought after candidates may indicate a willingness to supervise the department’s summer internship program which includes specific course assignments and time to manage the program as part of the teaching load. The faculty member may be assigned to provide instruction through distance education. Applicants should be prepared to teach courses at the undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels, supervise doctoral dissertations and research, advise undergraduate students, and engage in departmental and university service.
