Applied Communication 2010 Call for Papers

APPLIED COMMUNICATION INTEREST GROUP
Eastern Communication Association
2010 Second Call for Papers

"Charting a Course: Meeting New Horizons"
2010 Eastern Communication Association Convention
Baltimore, Maryland
Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor
April 22-25

The Applied Communication Interest Group invites papers, program proposals, and roundtable discussions for the 101st Annual ECA Convention that will be held from April 22-25, 2010 at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore on the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland.

The convention theme, "Charting a Course:  Meeting New Horizons," seeks to identify and explore how we will enhance the growth and development of our field?  What unique contributions will ECA make in the future?  How will we mentor future generations of those who enter the discipline?  How can we motivate and engage students more fully in the discipline through participation in our professional association? The convention theme, combined with the mission statement of the Applied Communication Interest Group, encourages proposals that focus on "meeting new horizons" in communication scholarship as evident in the application of communication theory and research to ‘real-world' social issues and local communities.
