Great Ideas for Teaching Students (G.I.F.T.S.) 2014
The Community College Interest Group is seeking submissions for the G.I.F.T.S. program at the 105th annual convention of the Eastern Communication Association. The theme of this year’s convention is “Communities of Dissent: A “Lively Experiment” in Dialogue, Diversity, and Discourse.” We encourage members from a wide range of interest groups to submit a G.I.F.T.S.
Any faculty member or graduate teaching assistant at any type of institution may submit a class-tested G.I.F.T.S. Your submission may be an activity, assignment, project, game, or simulation addressing a specific communication theory, concept, skill or learning objective appropriate to the communication discipline. Submissions should be geared toward college communication courses (public speaking, interpersonal, small group, theory, etc.) and should be easily explained in less than ten minutes.
