Program description:

Developing and Managing Project Schedules

Creating, and sticking to, project schedules will dramatically increase your project’s chance of success. This course will review common forms of schedules, the impact of schedule changes and how to use the schedule to manage the project.

Following this course, participants will be able to:

  • Identify scheduling best practices
  • Create and differentiate between several different types of project schedules
  • Discuss the relationship between the schedule and project management
  • Discuss the impact of schedule compression and acceleration

Project Scheduling Seminar October 2024

Mark O. Federle, PE, PhD, CPC, F.ASCE, NAC

Mark Federle is currently the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the OPUS College of Engineering at Marquette University. He has also served as the McShane Chair of Construction Engineering and Management (Professor-in-Charge of the CEMA program), April 2008 – Aug 2016, where he started the first ABET-accredited (as of 2010) Construction Engineering Program.  Previously he was Chief Information Officer for The Weitz Company in Des Moines for 9 years. Prior to joining The Weitz Company, Federle was the Professor-in-Charge of Construction Engineering program at Iowa State University, where he taught for nine years. Mark earned his PhD and Masters in Construction Engineering and Management from the University of Michigan. He earned a BS in Civil Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer, CM-Lean, and a Certified Professional Constructor.   He has completed multiple projects for Electri, including a study of Prefabrication and Productivity. He is a frequent presenter at the NECA Show and at various NECA Chapter meetings.
