Welcome Home Celebration for WWII, Korean War, & Vietnam War Veterans
Midway Airport - Baggage Claim (Lower Level), South End
Our day of honor culminates with a Welcome Home celebration for these senior war veterans at Midway
Airport. Active duty military personnel, bagpipers, color guards and more will greet the veterans at the gate
and escort them to Baggage Claim (Lower Level), where we want you and your loved ones to be waiting. We
encourage your family to be festive and create with signs to hold, t‐shirts, balloons to hold, etc. – make this
Welcome Home a fitting tribute to your loved one’s service!
Currently, our Welcome Home attendance policy is the more the merrier! However, in partnership with our
friends at Midway Airport, we ask that you inform your ambassador if you plan to have 10 or more family
members and friends attend to help us manage crowd size and location.
WHEN: 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, Southwest Charter Flight #8237. Please arrive at Midway
Airport by 7:45 p.m. WHERE: Baggage Claim (Lower Level), South End at Midway Airport PARKING INFO:
Parking is limited by construction at the Midway Airport parking garage. Family will be sent a REQUIRED
parking pass that must be printed and displayed for access prior to the flight. Thank you for your support.
