Program description:
Case studies demonstrate common myths of field productivity due to a fundamental
misunderstanding of what productivity really is. Case studies provide step by step illustration for participants to simply and clearly define productivity and production. Case studies illustrate methodologies for measuring and managing jobsite productivity for sustainable, breakthrough performance gains.
- Following this course, participants will be able to:
- Define and appropriately measure productivity
- Define and understand the mechanics of production
- Understand blind spots existing project management approaches have to productivity improvement and what to do about it
- Gain an introductory understanding, based on case studies, of how to measure cost of lost production and how to implement effective improvement routines

Shaabini Alford is Director at Maxim Consulting Groupand is responsible for assessing, evaluating, and implementing client processes. Shaabini works with various sized construction firms to train, educate and inspire leaders. Having over 20 years’ experience, Shaabini has faced and conquered many difficult situations to a successful conclusion, specifically in jobsite crisis management, contract terms and conditions, and legal negotiations in multi-million dollar change order settlements. She is an operations expert and enjoys analyzing current business processes for areas of improvement and opportunity, such as: procurement, detailing, fabrication, field engagement, risk mitigation and team dynamics. She is skilled in building highly effective teams and improving their performance by documenting SOPs for precise and repeatable execution of work. She enjoys the challenge of taking on ugly projects and leading the project team to a successful and profitable end.
