Young Professionals of ECA announce 2020 Leadership Conference
YP Leadership Conference scheduled: February 6-7, 2020
The Young Professionals 2020 Leadership Conference will be held on February 6th to 7th, 2020, at the Westin Hotel in Itasca, Illinois.
2020 Conference theme: "Setting the P.A.C.E. of our Future".
PRODUCTIVITY – ACCOUNTABILITY – COMMUNICATION - EFFECTIVENESS
Life's busy schedules often keep us from reaching our fullest potential. This year's conference will guide attendees to develop an action plan to take charge of a demanding schedule, and become more productive, efficient individuals at work and at home. The conference sessions will also give attendees a look at innovative construction technology that help streamline tasks in the office and on the jobsite.

10am Small Group Construction Tech Session 1 –Construction Tech - Doing More with Less! In this session we will cover construction technology trends that are replacing old outdated workflows. We will discuss mobile apps and software solutions that help increase your productivity in the workplace. This presentation is designed to help anyone working in construction improve communication across your company from the back office to the field.

1:30pm Small Group Construction Tech Session 2 – Construction Technology – Learn, Unlearn and Relearn. There is a great quote by Alvin Toffler that reads “The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn and relearn. Managing change is challenge that everyone is facing heading into 2020. In this session we will talk about the new evolving role of Construction Technologist and the impact they can have driving change within companies. We will look at new trends and dive into the importance of people and process when it comes to driving adoption of technology within your company.

Alex Willis, Leadership Surge:
Alex Willis is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, and graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration. He also received a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University, where he was the Salutatorian of his class. Alex was a walk-on player for the Florida Gators and member of the 1996 National Championship football team. He later received a full scholarship and was elected team captain in 2000. He also played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Coach Tony Dungy.
Alex has excelled in Financial Services, Pharmaceutical Sales and Business Development. At Northwestern Mutual, Alex ranked 3rd in sales production for the Southern Region. He ranked 5th in the nation for Eli Lilly in marketing total portfolio sales. Alex has successfully raised over $1.5 million for startup companies and has been instrumental in setting strategy and vision for leadership within these companies. He has spent the last 15 years working with companies to improve the leadership culture within organizations. His company Leadership Surge values people over process, and focuses on a holistic, strengths-based approach to leadership. They create a fun, interactive, experiential learning environment for emerging leaders.
Amanda King, Leadership and Development Coach:
Stockton, California native, Amanda King is a motivational speaker and professional leadership coach. She holds both a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology, and a Master’s degree in Education, with a concentration in Administration and Leadership from University of the Pacific. In addition, Amanda is a certified Energy Leadership Index, Master Practitioner. She has a unique approach that inspires people to move forward to establish and achieve their goals. Her focus is to assist you in identifying what’s keeping you from reaching your full potential. More importantly, Amanda’s Energy Leadership program will support you in developing self-awareness, with knowledge and skills to lead confidently with a sustainable plan for you and your team. As a leadership coach, Amanda creates workshops designed to support executive leadership teams, top tier managers, field supervisors, project managers and frontline leaders as they evaluate their leadership style.
Josh Bone, Director of Industry Innovation at National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA):
For more than a decade Josh has been implementing, training, and presenting construction technology solutions to AEC&O professionals. During that time, he has worked with some of the top technology leaders in the industry. This experience has helped him define best practices and methodologies for integrating BIM and mobile applications into everyday workflows. Starting with designers, then moving into trade coordination, and finally working with teams to produce schedules (4D) and quantities (5D) generated from the model I have delved deep into the BIM process.
This event is open to all young professionals working for ECA member companies. The Registration Fee ($200) includes one night hotel stay, all food and beverage, social event, and education conference.
