"Contracting with M/WBE Vendors- The Do's and The Don'ts" Seminar
The ECA Research and Education Committee and the ECA DEI Committee proudly sponsored a complimentary program called, "Contracting with M/WBE Vendors- The Do's and The Don'ts" Seminar. This was a Pre-Membership Meeting event that was held on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at the Union League Club of Chicago. The featured presenter was Jaemie L. Neely, Executive Director, Federation of Women Contractors.
Ms. Neely offered insight into the essential guidelines and pitfalls to avoid when engaging with minority and women-owned businesses in the electrical contracting industry. Attendees reviewed strategies for diversity, compliance, and partnerships.
Highlights of this session, included the following topics:
- Fostering inclusive partnerships,
- Adhering to compliance and ethics,
- Implementing strategies for business diversity,
- Building long-term relationships;
- Experiences from industry leaders
