Young Professionals of ECA: 2024 Leadership Conference
The event was held at the Virgin Hotel - Chicago, IL.
From August 1 - 2, 2024, the Young Professionals of ECA hosted their 6th Annual Leadership Conference in the vibrant city of Chicago at the Virgin Hotel. It was a loaded two-day conference highlighted by fantastic networking, education, and activities!
On Thursday, attendees had the opportunity to hear from Amanda King and her presentation on Boundaries & Self-Preservation - unpacking ways to mitigate one's stress. Later that night, the group shuttled over to the Wrigleyview Rooftops to enjoy great views and a walk-off win for the Cubs at the bottom of the ninth versus the St. Louis Cardinals.
Friday's schedule was dedicated to education as the conference offered an excellent docket of speakers.
- AI in Electrical Contracting, Josh Bone: This session discussed the exciting realm of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential impacts on the electrical construction industry.
- Risk Management, Jef Fagan: This session discussed legal issues that electrical contractors can face regarding contracts, wage and hour change, and internal investigation best practices.
- Cash Flow Management, David O'Brien: This session discussed the key financial processes, facts, and figures that you need to be constantly aware of to keep the company running smoothly.
