The Electrical Contractors’ Association of City of Chicago (ECA) Safety Committee along with the Northeastern Illinois Chapter, NECA were proud to have sponsored a special Joint Safety Directors' Forum.  The event was held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 from 11:30 am – 4:00 pm at Rich Harvest Farms in Sugar Grove, Illinois.  The complimentary event had over 15 ECA / NECA (Safety) members in attendance.  Along with the car museum tour and  golf simulator area, two informational sessions were held.  Jerry McGlynn, ECA Safety Committee Chair, McWilliam's Electric Company, Inc., discussed “Proper Safety Orientation” and Bob Lahey, Construction Safety Council (CSC) Director discussed the current offerings of the CSC, including the 5 different 4-hour programs that are being offered for  free through a federal grant (see below).  Also, each attendee shared an activity / observation / industry resource that would be helpful for all Safety Directors.

1) Workzone Hazards
2) Excavation Dangers
3) Harmful Silica
4) Fall Protection
5) Electrical Safety
