Manhunt underway after 3 Wells Fargo branches, another bank were robbed in Wake County

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Police officers are trying to hunt down two people connected to a string of four bank robberies Tuesday.

The Raleigh Police Department confirmed the robberies and said officers were searching for the suspects in the area near an abandoned Ford Mustang on Centennial Parkway near NC State University.

Cary Police told ABC11 that the robbers struck the Cary branch at 1:10 p.m. Bank employees told officers that a man demanded money from the teller and left the bank without displaying a weapon. No one was hurt.

Cary Police tried to intercept the suspect vehicle but the suspects in the Mustang led officers on a chase before ditching the burned-out car and slipping away from officers.
