Montana man who claims to be God is sentenced to 6 years for bank robberies

Arkansas Democrat Gazette

A Montana man who said he believes he is God was sentenced to six years in prison by a federal judge in Little Rock on Wednesday on one count of bank robbery in connection with a 2021 robbery of a U.S. Bank branch in North Little Rock that netted just over $2,000.

Ombleo Keilson John Daniels, 53, pleaded guilty to the charge Jan. 15 before U.S. District Judge Brian Miller.

Daniels was initially charged in a probable cause complaint out of the Middle District of Tennessee, where he is also accused of bank robbery and attempted bank robbery. According to the complaint affidavit, on Nov. 22, 2021, an older white male with tattoos on his knuckles/fingers entered a U.S. Bank branch in North Little Rock and passed a note to the teller “which claimed that he was ‘God’ and demanding money.”
