2nd Press Operator - 3rd Shift

The Second Press Operator is responsible for the timely and cost- effective production of quality printed materials by acting as a feeder operator, in conjunction with a team leader, on any of the printing presses. Must be hard working and willing to learn. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and regularly move/lift up to 50 pounds.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform assigned activity to produce a completed job, ensure the completion of the job with respect to company quality and quantity standards.
- Assist Press Operator in set-up of machines
- Obtain supplies needed for setups and correct material allocated to the present job
- Determine material needs, fill out material request form and work with shipping department for staging
- Review specs such as job order, print master, proofs, and samples
- Participate in cleaning and maintenance work on machines
- Load paper stock and maintain feeder operations
- Periodically add ink to ink reservoir to maintain a specified level
- Complete and maintain all required paperwork
- Follow and comply with all safety rules, work rules, and regulations
- Maintain good housekeeping in assigned work area and throughout the department
- Must be willing to take direction from pressman in a team environment
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Experience and Education:
- Dependable and exceptional work ethic
- Must be able to work independently or as part of a team
- Previous experience in printing a plus!
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
