| | Plans are underway for a 3-day hybrid in-person/virtual conference in London in Spring 2026. We will provide details in coming months but I want to give you early notice so you can place the conference on your calendar.
Two important events in the near future are the President’s Forum on February 11 and the IHCNO annual members’ meeting on March 20. |

All IHCNO members are invited to attend the annual Membership meeting. Committees will provide annual reports of activities and goals. In addition, nominations for the Board of Directors are accepted and voted on at the annual membership meeting. |

| | February 19 at 8am ESTThe first three live webinars in the series were very well received and recordings are available for viewing on the website IHCNO.org. The series is offered to IHCNO members at no cost as a member benefit. For non-members, there is a small cost of $25 (United States Dollars) to register for one webinar, or $50 to register for two or more and this includes a one-year membership in IHCNO. We welcome you to be part of our organization. |
| | - help us plan the 2026 Conference!The IHCNO Conference Planning Committee has the goal to conduct an annual conference, each in a different county. IHCNO has an experienced event planning team and support of an Executive Director. Term of service on this committee is 1 to 2 years. Committee participants must be a member of IHCNO in good standing. IHCNO does not reimburse committee members or volunteers for participating in committees. |
| | Over the past year, the IHCNO and the ANA have conducted a research study consisting of 4 surveys. We now need a taskforce of 12 IHCNO members, representative of different countries around the world and different types of home-based nursing. This Task Force will review the research findings, consider nursing literature applicable to home-based nursing, and will provide the project with their expert opinions about what a final version of Scope and Standards for Home-Based Nursing should be. |
| | Scope and Standards of Home-Based Nursing Practice Research StudyThe research team is recruiting expert nurses to write the scope and standards of home-based nursing practice document that will be based on study findings. Please contact the researchers if you wish to participate in developing the scope and standards document.

| | Jodi L. Sutherland, PhD, RN, ACRN, CNEI am an assistant professor at the Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences, State University of New York, Binghamton. I am a nationally recognized nurse educator in community and population health nursing. My teaching and research focus broadly on community and population health nursing, specifically teaching and learning innovations about home healthcare for nursing students and practicing nurses. My membership to the organization has provided opportunities for networking and professional development. Recognizing a gap and a need to prepare a nursing workforce ready to practice in home care, I was selected and received a research award from the International Home Care Nurses Organization (IHCNO) to explore the effectiveness of a home healthcare simulation. |
