| | IHCNO leaders Mary Narayan, Marilyn Harris, and I represented IHCNO at the World Hospital at Home Congress (WHAHC) on March 27-29, 2025, in Vienna Austria. About 730 nurses, physicians, and other clinicians and administrators attended the annual conference. |
| | Jingjing Shang PhD RN OCN FAAN Professor of Nursing, Columbia University School of Nursing, New York, U.S.Dr. Jingjing Shang is the new Chair of the Research Committee. Her international contributions to home-based nursing research are widely disseminated and valued. |
| | Lynda worked for over three decades in nursing as a bedside and home care nurse, and a psychiatric nurse instructor. She was a manager and educator in homecare and Director of Nursing in three care facilities. |
| | IHCNO is a real community of nurses around the world. We have much in common because of our roles and the unique set of knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients and families in their homes. And we want to hear more from you. |
| | The Membership Outreach Committee seeks creative members to assist with fun projects to entertain and engage home-based care nurses on social media sites. Interactive projects may include creating short quizzes, surveys, discussion posts, jokes, or activities related to home-based nursing. Contact info@IHCNO.org to let us know of your interest. |
| | The second annual membership meeting of IHCNO took place on March 20. Two new IHCNO members were elected to the Board of Directors. We welcome the leadership of Jannipher Mateega and Tihana Gaspert to the Board. In addition to meeting the Officers, Directors of the Boad, committee Chairs, and executive director, members heard about major accomplishments of the organization in 2024. Members took part in an informal discussion about how they can be involved in projects. |
| | New IHCNO Board Member:Jannipher Nambalirwa Mateega is the Education, Training & Registration Officer for the Uganda Nurses and Midwives Council. She has a post-graduate degree in medical education, a diploma in law, and is a registered nurse. |
| | New IHCNO Board Member:Tihana Gašpert, RN, BSc, MSc, PhD(c). Tihana is a Hematology nurse, Clinical Hospital, Centre Rijeka and a PhD Candidate at the University of Maribor. |
