Board Member Spotlight:

Patricia (Pat) Grimes, MSN, RN

GrimesPat earned her master’s degree in nursing from Stevenson University. From 1986 to 2023 she served Johns Hopkins Medicine as an acute, critical care and Senior Clinical home health nurse. In July of 2023 Pat retired from the John Hopkins Health System in Baltimore, Maryland, US and moved to Cincinnati, Ohio, US to help care for her aging parents.

While searching for a way to become a “certified” home health nurse, Pat discovered IHCNO. She joined the education brainstorming team, aided in forming the advocacy committee of which she is currently the chairperson, serves on the Board of Directors, and serves on the education committee. In 2024 Pat joined the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing team and serves as a Community Health Adjunct Clinical Instructor teaching and nurturing the next generation of community-based nurses.

Pat volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association as a community educator and legislative advocate, volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children who have been removed from their birth parents, volunteers with the Cincinnati “last mile” food rescue/distribution program in Cincinnati and helps care for the work horses and donkeys that cultivate & harvest food at the organic Turner Farm in Indian Hills, Ohio.
