Trauma-Informed Care:
Even More Essential Now
Creating a trauma-informed culture has never been more important than in the time of COVID. After a review of trauma, clinical aspects of trauma, and the principles of trauma-informed care, this session will delve into the intersections of the COVID-19 pandemic and trauma-informed care. Special considerations for older adults, families and varied settings will be explored. The session will also highlight the importance of paying attention to staff concerns and suggesting ways organizations can provide supportive environments that build resilience. Concrete examples and resources will allow participants to jump into action right away in their own settings and roles.
