Witt/Kieffer has been retained by Trinity Health Senior Communities to assist in the recruitment of a President to lead the New England Ministry.  

The Ministry includes: Mercy Community Health – Hartford, Connecticut, Mercy Continuing Care Network – Springfield and Holyoke, Massachusetts, and Mount St. Joseph – Waterville, Maine.  The combined New England Ministry of Trinity Health Senior Communities includes revenues of $98 million and 1280 apartments and skilled nursing beds.  As the largest senior living region within Trinity, this is an outstanding opportunity to lead a region within a national faith-based organization.  The President provides leadership and direction in promoting a regional approach to continuing care delivery which is not only faith-based and values-driven, but also is responsive and innovative, flexible yet decisive, and highly collaborative in nature. 

The President will provide vision, integrity and leadership to Mercy Community Health to ensure it achieves its mission and is aligned with the mission of Trinity Health Senior Communities.  The President reports to Mercy Community Health Board and the Chief Operating Officer of Trinity Health Senior Communities, Amy LaFleur. The President will operate effectively in a collaborative and shared leadership environment and exhibit a strong commitment to Trinity Health’s mission, vision, goals and values. 

The President will model and promote an organizational culture that is values based, dedicated, accountable for success, and one which acknowledges and celebrates success.  S/he will lead a dedicated team with a passion for serving the elderly and less fortunate. The President will set the tone for an engaged, inclusive organizational climate dedicated to developing and retaining talent and developed and execute strategic plans to ensure that Trinity remains a competitive market leader in continuing care in New England.  The President will collaborate with Trinity Health Senior Communities in the development of community specific plans and the allocation of capital for repositioning or expansion.  In addition, the President will ensure the delivery of the high quality, patient-centric, cost effective care with unsurpassed service excellence. 

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough knowledge of healthcare management principles and techniques as normally obtained through a Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business or a related field, Master's Degree preferred and a minimum of ten (10) years of management experience in continuing care health care that includes long term care and post-acute care.  At least five (5) years' experience in a senior leadership role is required.
