Louis S. Crivelli II, DC, MS, FICC
Chair, Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters
The Council on Chiropractic Guidelines and Practice Parameters (CCGPP) was formed in 1995 to improve patient outcomes by advancing evidence-based care. Clinical Compass collaborates with every major chiropractic organization, state associations, individual chiropractors, and other healthcare providers interested in providing the best, most evidence-based care to their patients, translating findings into easily usable tools – the Chiropractic Clinical Compass. For more information, click here, and see the Fall 2020 edition of the MAC’s eJournal.
Be sure to check out the article on page 30, which shows how MAC members can access Clinical Compass’ awesome evidence-based resources, at no charge – just for being a MAC member!
Since November 2019, the Clinical Compass has been very productive.

In addition, here are some of our other accomplishments and current projects:
- The current CPG we are working on will deal with Health Promotion & Disease Prevention in the Chiropractic Setting.
- A member of the National Black Chiropractors Association (NACA) has been added to the Clinical Compass Board of Directors.
- The Clinical Compass and its work were instrumental in reversing the restrictive pediatric chiropractic policy from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of North Dakota.
- Evidence Center updates have recently been made with a new look, feel, and better functionality to the website.
- Over 10 state associations have supported us as Donor Organizations, granting their memberships FREE access to our Evidence Center (This includes the MAC. Click here and see the article on page 30 for more information.).
- Increased Social Media and fundraising activity through Facebook.
- Increased fundraising activity through Amazon Smile. If you shop with Amazon, you can support our work by signing up here. You have access to the same Amazon products, prices and services, but 0.5% of your eligible purchases will be donated to the CCGPP Clinical Compass.
- New research topics to be determined in conjunction with ChiroCongress with input from the state associations and practicing chiropractors alike.
- New program in the works – Compass Speakers. Have a member of the Clinical Compass speak at your convention.
- We are in the process of a Bylaws revision with updated policies and procedures.
- We recently sent our second of five annual contributions to support the Chiropractic Academy for Research Leadership (CARL) in their efforts to develop a global network of chiropractic researchers.
I am so proud of the work we are doing and look forward to our future! If you have questions or comments, they can be directed to CCGPP Clinical Compass at ccgpp@sc.rr.com. Thank you for your interest and your support.
