Kutina Ruhumbika has successfully led people teams for large corporate businesses as well as high growth start-ups. A restaurant and hospitality HR industry leader, Kutina’s passion is to create organizational success while building a mission-driven, diverse and inclusive culture where every team member can flourish.
As Chief People Officer at Levain Bakery, Kutina brings her unique style and energy to a fast-growing and diverse team of individuals with a common love of freshly baked sweet treats. Additionally, she’s created a progressive people-forward work environment, spearheading a unique cultural committee to strengthen company values while building connections amongst team members.
Before joining Levain Bakery, Kutina served as VP of Human Resources at Major Food Group as well as Vice President of Human Resources at Barteca Restaurant Group.
Kutina is an active board member of Women of Hospitality United (WIHU), Safe Bars, Hospitality Pathways, serves as an Advisor on "Kitchen Cabinet '' for Hot Bread Kitchen, and sits on the Advisory Board for Qwick. She is frequently invited to speak on panels and talks around the country, where she’s committed to sharing her HR leadership experiences with others. She’s especially passionate about helping the hospitality industry’s HR professionals create more equity for the industry’s most valued resource: its people.
