Death Notice: Robert D. McCowen

We regret to inform you of the death of Robert "Bob" D. McCowen, father of Steve (Jenny) McCowen, owner of McCowen & Secord Funeral Homes in Plainwell and Vicksburg and Avink Funeral Home & Cremation Society in Portage and Schoolcraft. Mr. McCowen died on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the age of 74.

Mr. McCowen is also survived by his wife, Sue; children, Jeff (Melanie), Heather Cordell, Michelle (Reggie) Chapa, and Andy (Kristen) Cordell; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Joey, Stephen, Nick, Kate, Morgan, Madelyn, Nathan, Dylan, Emma and Evan; mother, Vivian McCowen; sister-in-law, Rose McCowen; nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2021 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Eineder Funeral Home, 137 South Main, Brooklyn, MI 49230. A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Clark Lake Cemetery. Covid-19 protocol will be followed with mask required and social distancing.
