Dear colleagues,
MHOA's leadership, staff and several of our committees are in full conference prep mode with just over two weeks to go! Attendee and exhibitor registration is closed, but registered attendees who can no longer make it may transfer their registration to a colleague if you email Lisa Pacella by 10/24/25. Please have patience with us regarding inquiries over the next few very busy weeks. We look forward to connecting with those attending the conference.

It was exciting this week to see at least two people with MHOA connections named to the deBeaumont Foundation's 40 Under 40 in Public Health! Current MHOA member Katie O'Neill, Barnstable County's Public Health Shared Services Program Manager was recognized along with former MHOA Board of Directors member Roberto Santamaria. Congratulations to them both!

I am sad to share that Bob Valery, Halifax Health Agent, recently passed away. Visiting hours and a celebration of life will take place on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 23 and 24. As noted in his obituary, "he took great pride in his work, and approached his life with dedication, compassion, and integrity."
Regards,
Teresa Wood Kett, executive director
