Dear $$First Name$$:

Whether you are a mentor, mentee, or in our peer-to-peer program, your participation in the Women in Stone Mentorship Program is very much appreciated. Our mission is to recruit, retain, and advance women in the natural stone industry and this program is one of our best outlets for nurturing future leaders.

By now, you should have received an email letting you know who you have been matched with. If you haven’t already been in contact, please reach out to your pair to schedule your first appointment.

Below you will find some tools to help you get started. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at sarah@naturalstoneinstitute.org or 440-250-9222.

Best Regards,

Sarah B Gregg

Your First Meeting

We strongly recommend meeting via video chat (Zoom and Facetime work well). If these are not possible, meet via phone.  Plan to spend one hour per month. If you fall behind at any point throughout the next six months, you can use October and November to catch up.

Month One Guidance

Get to know your mentor/mentee/peer on a professional and personal level. Read through this worksheet ahead of time to prepare for your conversation. You can also refer to this during your meeting.  Month One Guidance

Kick Start Webinars

Most of you participated in our live Kick Start Webinars. If you missed it or want to refer back to anything that was covered, you can access the recordings on our mentorship webpage.  2021 Mentorship Resources

Being Resilient: The Power of Understanding People Webinar

I strongly encourage you participate in our webinar on Thursday, April 8 from 12:00-1:30 pm ET. We use his communication style assessment as part of our mentorship pairing process. It will be helpful for you to learn more about this directly from him.  Register here.

Next Month

In May you will be discussing your career paths and setting some goals to achieve by the end of this mentorship program. Most of our mentees and peer participants have filled out the Career Development Goals sheet with their managers. This form will be helpful this month. Now that you know more about your pair’s experience and expertise, make some adjustments and be as specific as possible in crafting your goals.
