Topic of Discussion

Employment Law Developments

The 116th Congress, with the House of Representatives now being controlled by Democrats, will certainly refocus Washington to employer related issues.  Pensions, paid leaves, minimum wage, overtime exemptions, LGBT rights, pay equity, right-to-work, prevailing wage, harassment and predictable work scheduling are just some of the items Washington will address.  And, if Washington “drops the ball,” the States will certainly attempt to pass similar legislation.  Even though federal agencies, such as the DOL, EEOC, and NLRB, now have Republican appointed personnel, the agencies’ field staff are more energetic in enacting rules and enforcing their laws than at any time in the past.  Bob will let you know what employers can expect from Washington and how to effectively cope with these changes.

You can attend this session live or participate via webinar.
